Questions

Technically speaking, thread count refers to the number of threads per one square inch of your sheets. When we started designing our bed sheets, we realized that while we're taught to look at thread count, we weren't really sure why. Through research, it became clear that higher thread count doesn't always mean higher quality or softness. In fact, more threads can actually make sheets heavier and less breathable.

You definitely don't need a Casper mattress to use Casper's one perfect bed sheet set! Any mattress up to 14 inches high will work.

All of our bed sheet sets are machine washable. We recommend washing your bed sheets in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low and remove from the dryer as soon as possible to keep them from wrinkling. Warm iron as needed. To keep your bed sheets looking good as new, use a non-chlorine, oxygen bleach with each wash and wash them every one to two weeks.

Most sheets are labeled to match the corresponding mattress size. However, there are some instances where a different size bed sheet can be a good fit for a mattress. For example, a King flat sheet works perfectly fine on a California King mattress.

Both Percale and Sateen bed sheets will elevate your nighttime routine. Percale sheets are primarily composed of cotton, featuring a signature tight weave that resembles your favorite crisp white button-up. Sateen sheets are 100% cotton with a lustrous feel—like slipping into your favorite silk robe.

The main difference between satin and sateen bed sheets lies in the weave. Sateen weave creates a smooth, lustrous surface and a slightly thicker feel, making it ideal for those who value softness and sheen in their bedding. On the other hand, satin weave offers a glossy surface and a more delicate feel, often associated with luxury and elegance. Both types of sheets can enhance your sleep experience, but sateen sheets, like those offered by Casper, are known for their comfort and are made from 100% organic cotton sheet material.

Sateen sheets are a type of bedding made using a sateen weave, which gives them a smooth, glossy finish and a soft, luxurious feel. Casper’s sateen sheets are crafted from 100% organic cotton, providing an incredibly soft and lustrous feel that can elevate your sleep experience. Whether you prefer the classic white or the subtle indigo, these sheets are designed to offer exceptional comfort and style.

It's not necessarily about one being better than the other, but rather about preference and specific needs. Sateen is actually made from cotton fibers, but it undergoes a different weaving process, resulting in a smoother, shinier surface compared to regular cotton sheets. If you value a glossy finish and a softer feel, sateen might be the better choice for you. However, if you prefer a more matte finish and a crisp feel, traditional cotton or linen sheets might be more suitable.
