Great investment

Much better than the Chinese model I purchased and returned. For the money (and our needs) this fits the bill. It's quiet, well built, compact, but more than capable of handling our 250 pound bodies. The bluetooth is something of a gimmick because of their lame app, but I don't care. I did end up mounting it to a 2x4 pressboard which prevented the unit from sliding around. Again, if your looking for basic functionality and quality of construction, for the money, it can't be beat.

My previous elliptical exercise machine lasted for about 6 years or so and it was a big one that took up too much space with a lot of features. This time I wanted a smaller and compact machine with enough features since I don't use all of them. I did some research and found the Schwinn 411 elliptical exercise machine was what I was looking for and the price was just right for my budget. The assembly of the machine took about 2 hours and the instructions were easy to follow. However, in order to update the console's software, you need to download the Schwinn's app. I could never get it to update using my Samsung galaxy device.  The Bluetooth keeps getting disconnected during the update of the console's software.  After a while, I switched to my wife's iPhone 6 device for the update of the software, it updated successfully on the first attempt.  Also, the lowest resistant level on the Schwinn 411 exercise machine to me was a bit tougher compared to other elliptical machines. Perhaps I will get use to it as I use it... The delivery (via FedEx) was much faster than the estimated date of arrival. All in all, I am very happy with the Schwinn 411!!!

For the price, this is an excellent elliptical. It's very vertical and compact and offers smooth strides. I have owned much more expensive ellipticals but the Schwinn surpasses both of them.

Excellent value for the price

I used Handy to assemble the item, and the handyman did a fantastic job. I am in decent physical shape, and it took me over a week to work up to even the lowest resistance level for 30 minutes! Thus, if you are physically frail or in really poor shape, I recommend starting with a different piece of equipment.  It is a quiet machine. I just notice a bit of creaking now and then when it seems some plastic may be rubbing depending on my movements and that of the machine.

Be sure  you are in decent shape for this machine!

I like it a lot. It's sturdy and wasn't hard to build. I wish the resistance was more adjustable. I also wish it had incline. Overall I would I like it alot.

Good buy

Pretty great so far! Saves space, smooth ride, quiet, good stride length for me (I'm 5' 6”), and surprisingly stable for a compact machine. I'm impressed. Gym quality feel with really well made grips. 

Only issue is the fly wheel is a bit of a challenge to pedal, even on the lowest setting. I'm going to contact Schwinn this week to see if they can walk me through loosening the belt a bit for less resistance. 

As a back story, I returned the Sunny health treadmill and decided to get this instead - way better workout. 

The only reason I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was definitely a tough assembly that took 3 hours.

All done with Allen Keys except for a few screws. Talk about sore shoulders the next day. It was easy in terms of instructions, but tough on the body and a lot to do.

Would have been a far better experience if a drill gun could be used for whole assembly. 

Will update my review once I connect with company about lowering the flywheel resistance. 

Note: the calorie counter on this machine is completely inaccurate, which is not an issue for me because I'm a personal trainer and know about how much I'm burning per workout. I noticed the same feedback came in from many other customers on Amazon for this machine. Also, the track rails require what seems like daily lubing for a smooth ride which is a bit much. 

In my honest opinion, the quality of the construction and performance of this elliptical outweighs these quirks, and I still highly recommend it.  I've used it every day since I got it.

Fantastic machine with minor quirks

If you are a hard core workout person this is not for you. Its more for people who would go on low resistance. Stride length is less about 16 inches versus 20 inches of their other models, plus I didnt observe a good abdominal workout. Its super light (90 lbs only) and could be assembled on your (just follow instructions properly).

Not good for hard core workouts

Terrible cheap machine. Loud floor rattling vibration, broke within a couple of weeks- rubber wheel on track just cracked. I'm fat but under the weight limit by 20  pounds.

Do not buy this garbage

This thing is basically unusable. I got it at the beginning of the COVID crisis so that I could exercise inside. Got it together with a bit of a struggle but not too bad. Tried using it and it is practically impossible to peddle even on the lowest setting. I was unable to return this item because I couldn't go into the store at the time. I thought maybe after I dropped some weight it would work better but I'm 50 lbs down now and it is still a worthless piece of junk. It's possible one of my pedal mechanisms/hinges is defective, who knows? But I wouldn't recommend anyone risk buying this item. Especially at this price point.
