Extremely well packaged product, easy to assemble! I did it alone in 20mins (including opening the package) and I'm a small woman. Only complaint is there is no power button on the monitor. You have to take the battery out. Works extremely well. Quiet. Bought this for my daughter who just started rowing to be able to use through the winter.

Excellent machine!!

Love this! It was easy to put together. Did it by myself (small female) in about 20 minutes. The footplate was broken on arrival but went online (suggested over calling) and submitted a request. Rhiannon replied and a new part was on it's way in no time. It does have a tension cord to vary difficulty. You can also adjust water level. I'm a workout addict and pretty fit. It's a great workout for me. So glad I added it to my home gym.

Great machine, good price point

I really like this rowing machine. I did a lot of reviews and I wanted the same brand but a different model but because of the covid-19 it was out of stock and not sure when it would return.
Went together quite easily and the fit was great all parts were included the machine work was done well very pleased with the quality. Walmart's price and free home delivery made it a no-brainer. Now it is up to me to use it everyday.

Overall, I think this is a high quality product.  Comparable to other high end rowers I've used in my group fitness classes. Happy with this product so far!

I recommend and I'm difficult to please

Been using this bad boy every single day with no break days since I received it. It's sturdy, smooth, the water sloshing is soothing; The monitor is not very helpful but I pair my workouts with watching shows on my notebook, so it's not really for competition rowing. 

Highly recommended IF:

1) You are less than 6-feet tall
2) Less than 750 lbs
3) You are looking for casual-high intermediate rowing
4) You are on a budget

Otherwise, go with the Concept 2 RowErg | Model D

Been using it every single day since I received it

Placed order on Monday and received on Thursday!  Put it together in no time.  Very easy.  Wires on display were cut but one call to Xterra customer service (thank you Matthew) and I am told the new one will be here in 2-3 business days.  I belonged to Orange Theory and my favorite station was the rowing.  I got on the machine and feel the ride is very similar to the Orange Theory rowers.  Love the fact that I can stand it up effortlessly when not in use. So far, I am in love!

Impressed with steel, weight, and overall quality

The rower came so fast! I normally work out at Orangetheory and I was looking for a water rower that wouldn't break the bank. Several reviews I found online said that this rower was their top pick under $500 / budget rower category. It honestly feels very similar to the OTF rowers! It was super easy to assemble, with very clear directions and parts. My 13 year old daughter and I did it in about 30 minutes. I still haven't figured out what the display is telling me, but it has a lot of the features you want - time, distance, 500 meter split time etc. I need to look at the book and pay closer attention, but I normally am going for distance or time and I just know how hard I can pull. I don't think there is an off switch for the display, so I imagine I'll have to change the batteries at some point. Regardless, this is an awesome rower and I'm so happy to have it now that I'm doing all my workouts at home! Also, it rolls easily and stands up on its end so it takes very little space to store and super easy to move around.

Awesome smooth water rower for a great price!

This is a great product that really works. I've use it almost everyday for the last two months and it's really helped built lean muscle and up my cardio. The two negatives that prevent it from being a 5 start. The foot straps have already started falling apart (this is ok because I don't use them anymore) and the screen won't stay on a focused area. I like to know my time at all time.

Excellent machine!

I bought this because I watched several Top 5 Rower and Top 5 Water Rower videos and this one just so happened to top the chart in each video. I bought it to replace my Gymax Water Rower which I broke after having for 6 months. One of the fan blades broke in the water reservoir, most likely from me going at it so hard (no big deal). 
I was excited when I received it a day early so I assembled it immediately - easy assembly. I filled it up to level 4 as that's the level I was using with the Gymax Water Rower and it was a challenge previously. Unfortunately, there was little to no resistance at level 4 with the XTERRA ERG600W.  I filled it up to level 6 and there wasn't much improvement. While I understand that water rowing is supposedly about longer workouts, I like to operate at a higher HR (130 ) and I'm not getting that from the XTERRA ERG600W. I miss the Gymax Water Rower but it was definitely a cheaper build by comparison.
Pros: Quiet and smooth. Beautiful water rowing noise. Display is clean and easy to see. Several great modes to keep you engaged. Seat transitions and glides very nicely. The inclusion of the funnel was a nice touch to make the filling of the reservoir faster than the Gymax Water Rower.
Cons: Resistance is non-existent. There is a hookup and display for chest heart rate monitor but nowhere in the manual do they give you options for any that might be compatible. It would be a guessing game

Buy depending on what you are looking for

After paying for this rower, I also paid $82 for assembly only to realize I won't gain any benefits from using it because it has hardly any resistance:(
